Our last day of school...we have some friends sharing our last breakfast. Some we'll see next year, some will move on to another school. It will be lonely at breakfast through the summer. Some said they wanted to come over to my house so we could still eat together.
Oh yes then there's the boys...for some reason they don't want to sit at our "good manors" table...go figure.
We had a different set up this morning and we had to rush everyone out of the cafeteria as soon as they were finished eating. It doubles as our auditorium, and they were getting ready for the fifth grade graduation.
How can you resist those faces?
Plenty of cheers from everyone. We are so proud of all of the graduates!
Some of these students we see everyday in the clinic, which is the doorway I'm standing in. I'll miss them! But happy to see them move on and up!
Of course for some reason these friends had to come in together. Ice pack, and earache and a tag-a-long!
Don't kids like school's out? :P
ReplyDeleteYes, didn't they look happy?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great group of students and I bet they will miss you as much as you will miss them! It looks like a wonderful school and what could be bad with seeing those palm trees outside? Wish we had some of them here! Cool with the graduations walk too! Great post!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just noticed the sign with the Puma and Cheetah, what's that all about?
ReplyDeleteWe are the Gulf Gate Tigers, and we have 4 different colors all represent a hallway. Two wings upstairs Blue and Green, red and yellow on the first floor wings and purple in the center for the offices, media and cafeteria and such. So they each get named. I think we have a Leopard Lane, and Panther Pass, and I forget what else. It's such a bright and coulorful, very nice school. About 800 students right now, we started out with more when it was first built.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post. I always loved that last day of school.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend
Cheers!
It's always a happy day when it's the last day!
